Carsharing

If you are a first-time user, you will need to register on the app; However, you can search for the vehicle before registration by:

  • Choosing the pick-up city/location,
  • Selecting the drop-off city/location,
  • Determine the pick-up date and time,
  • Determine the drop-off date and time,
  • Select the car of your choice,
  • Review your booking, and select the required add-ons
  • Proceed to the payment screen. It's that simple!
    *Only the verified clients can complete the booking.

You can cancel your booking through the app, go to the My Bookings page from the menu button, swipe your booking to the left, click on the Cancel Booking button, SHIFT will apply the cancelation policy.

The Contact Centre Business hours, 24 hours 7 days a week.

Your safety is our main concern; If you have a traffic accident, you must follow the following instructions:

  • If you are a passenger, or other parties injured, God forbid, call 911 or ask a bystander to do so. If you are seriously injured, try not to move, and wait for emergency personnel, please ensure that you are given a copy of the report from Najm's or Morror representative, then all our Contact Center Agents @ 9200014818; we will take care of the rest and replace your vehicle.
  • If all parties are ok, please call Najm@199033 or Morror @911; once Najm or Morror arrives at the accident's location and issues a report, please ensure that you are given a copy of the accident report from Najm's representative, then call our Contact Center Agents @ 9200014818; we will take care of the rest.
  • An accident might leave the driver exhausted. But following these steps will help protect your rights and SHIFT's rights and make handling the accident case proper and smooth.

In case there are any damages to the car upon the return, you will be notified with the damages by the Contact Centre team representative and the Contact Centre Team will request the Damage Report to be provided to process the damage repair claim, in case there were no damage report provided the Contact Centre Team will advise you with the necessary procedures as per our policy stipulated in the terms and conditions. The pickup and drop- off timing are assigned as per your selected time at the booking process.

The minimum rental period from the SHIFT application is 1 hour, except for the rentals from KAUST and King Fahad Airport. In case you want to book a duration less than the minimum as mentioned above, you will be charged for the designated category.

For a 1-day rental, you get an allocation of 250 KM per day; extra kilometers are charged with 0.40 halala to 1 SR without VAT, as per vehicle type. Extra kilometer and will be posted on your contract once your booking is completed.

Upon drop off the vehicle must be in ¼ tank gas. In case your return the vehicle less than ¼ tank, you will be charged with the cost of filled liters as per the government's announced prices, plus the fuel filling service charges, which will automatically be charged to your rental contract

Bookings extensions are charged with daily Rate; if you need to extend your booking, you will be charged for an extra day post the 24 hours from the pick-up time. The charges for the extension will be as per the rate at which the car was booked.

We will calculate the extra time and charges will be applied accordingly.

The first thing you need to do is download the app, then click on Register. You will need to fill in some basic information based on the selected ID type, like your name, contact information & upload pictures of your valid ID & driver’s license.

In case the car you have rented requires maintenance service, our Contact Center will contact you to arrange this matter. You can visit any Petromin or Fuchs service centers to carry out the services needed on SHIFT inc's account (zero charges).

Yes, you can reschedule your booking 2h before the assigned pick-up through the application.

Our system only accepts bookings with a KSA mobile number.

To complete the Pick-Up Process, you will need your mobile number that is registered in Absher on hand to receive an SMS validation code from the TAMM system. In case you are a verified Passport /GCC client, you need to take a selfie, and the system will handle the rest.

The minimum age required to rent a car from us is 21 years old.

We don't have physical locations for carsharing as the application is our main office that serves you whenever you need it, and from the app, you can find our pick-up & drop-off spots.

The application is available on IOS Store and Google Play.

The ID version can be found on your Saudi ID or Iqama on the top left corner is required to automatically link the vehicle to your license when the Pick-Up Process is initiated.

SHIFT application is compatible to work on devices operating by Android and IOS.

Saudi Citizen = Valid Saudi ID + Valid Saudi Driving License
Saudi Residence = Valid Iqama + Valid Saudi Driving License
Visitor = Valid Passport + Visa Page Copy + International Driving License
GCC Citizen= Valid GCC ID + GCC Driving License

To book a car with us, you will need to be a verified user. However, you can search for the vehicle of your choice before registering.

Our prices are changed periodically, so; please look from time to time in the app to get our latest prices.

The add-ons are optional, including CDW, during the booking process and booking reschedule.

Unfortunately, you cannot specify the car color during the Booking Process. However, we do have a variety of car colors within our fleet, and the car that you get assigned on the day of your booking is based on what is available within your selected booking category.

Chauffeur

The first thing you need to do is download the app, then click on Chauffeur. You will need to fill in some information within the fields; your name, email address, contact information, create password and confirm your password.

Yes, you can book a chauffeur with an international number when you register on the app.

We have 2 cars categories (Comfort – Business).

You can cancel your ride through the app. Go to the 'My Rides' tab from the menu button, click on the ride that you wish to cancel, press on the cancel button. SHIFT will apply the cancelation policy if any.

Once eligible for a refund or cancelation, your request will be received in the system. Whether full/partial refund, it takes 1 business day for the refund to be processed and 10-15 business days for the refunded amount to show up in your account based on your bank policy.

The Contact Centre business hours are 24 hours, 7 days a week.

To book the e-chauffeur service, you must be a registered user on the app.
In contrast, the classic chauffeur service can be booked without registration through the counters.

You will be notified about damages by the Contact Centre team. Extra charges which might be implemented after completing your journey include:

  • Cleaning charges.
  • Interior/exterior damages on the vehicle.

Once you complete the journey, you will receive an email with the trip summary. At the bottom of the email, you will find a 'Lost Item' button. Please click on it, fill out the required information, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Additionally, we suggest that in certain urgent lost-and-found cases, the customer may contact the driver directly or call your team before the driver moves too far away. This can help prevent customer dissatisfaction and ensure quicker resolution.

Yes, you can. Extra hours charges will be added to your trip summary at the end of your journey.

No, you cannot book outside the pick-up coverage area. We will be expanding our coverage areas soon!

Yes, you can request both a special Driver and a vehicle type based on your request by writing a note in the comment option 30 minutes before your scheduled time.

The waiting fare will apply for the Business car 6 minutes after the Driver’s arrival.
and for the comfort, it will apply 10 minutes after the Driver’s arrival.

If you are a first-time user, you will need to register on the app then you can start your booking process by the following:
